Going Bush at Tid – Young Rangers Program

Going bush and successfully navigating off track into the mountains surrounding Tidbinbilla valley can be quite rewarding. Learn some basic map reading skills and how to prepare to go bush. Ranger Sam will give you tips on how to thrive in the bush. A BBQ lunch to celebrate the end of the year’s program will be provided.

The Tidbinbilla Valley has played an important part of the Australian Capital Territory's (ACT) nature conservation efforts since 1936 and was gazetted as a nature reserve and national park in 1971.
