Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve closed for Thermal Assisted Aerial Control program

Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve is closed on 15 May and 16 May to allow for the Thermal Assisted Aerial Control (TAAC) program to take place to remove vertebrate pest species from the area. The reserve will reopen from 17 May.

World of Waterbugs – Tidbinbilla School Holiday Program

In this fun, interactive activity kids can take a close-up look at our local Macroinvertebrates (Waterbugs) and see how these brilliant bugs can indicate the health of a freshwater river or wetland.

Billy Tea and Damper

Come and enjoy a traditional Aussie bush experience. Kids can mix up their own damper and cook it over an open fire, and we’ll also brew up some billy tea to wash it down.

The Tidbinbilla Valley has played an important part of the Australian Capital Territory's (ACT) nature conservation efforts since 1936 and was gazetted as a nature reserve and national park in 1971.
